Home Sweet Home #2

We now are renters of an apartment at 3 Beethovenstrasse in Nussloch, about 5 miles from downtown Heidelberg. And we LOVE it. It is exactly what we had been hoping for, but thought we couldn't get. Our place has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living/dining room. We are on the second floor of our building and our landlord & his family live right above us. Pretty much everything is brand new. The floors, the paint, both bathrooms, and the kitchen. Each space is much larger than is usual here and every single room has all right angles, which is rare. Perfection.

Our house hunting was so futile up until Tuesday. Our housing counselor was an absolute nightmare and the sole reason we didn't get into a place much sooner. (Well, we know to attribute it ultimately to God's perfect plan for us.) But that whole mess is really a very long, and only now funny, story for another post. So we viewed the apartment on Tuesday afternoon, signed the lease yesterday, did the walk-through inspection today, and then everything will be delivered and moved in tomorrow. Such a whirlwind. We can't wait to sleep in our awesome bed and have a decent homecooked meal. (Yes, I am dying to make dinner. Never thought I would feel that way!)
