We finished reading the Harry Potter series! This was my second time through them, but Nathan's first. He was hesitant in the beginning, saying he didn't think he would like "children's books." But he realized they are so much more than that, and I think he's an official HP fan now : )
We started the first book back in August, and we steadily made our way through all seven books, checking them out of the library on post one by one. We read in in our bedroom, in the car, in planes, in airports, and in Germany, Italy and France. After finishing each book, we watched the corresponding movie. I had told Nathan I wasn't a huge fan of the movies, not because they are horribly done, but because there's so much more in the books. About half way through the books/movies, Nathan said he kind of wished we had just done one or the other, since the books really are so much better. Tears were shed (by me) during the last book and the last movie, and we both had a little post-series depression. They're just that good!
