...I got a new job as the Protestant Parish Coordinator, a military contract position. In short, I'm the Secretary at PHV Chapel. The 20 hours a week are flexible and the pay is immensely good. I've been "training" with Michaela over the past week. It's been extremely informal and really fun. The people I will be working with (Chaplain Hart, Sergeant Traore, and Lori) are a joy to be around. So all in all, this job can't get any better.
...We found out Nathan will be going to Italy for a period of time sometime soon to work in Vicenza. At this point, based on what they've told him, we are thinking from mid-July to early November. But nothing has been set in stone yet.
...Nathan was transferred over to Building 32 to work in DOT (Department of Training) with Sergeant Palmer. He hasn't officially started working there yet, but will soon.
...I went to Garmisch with 3 of the other 4 members on the PWOC Executive Board. Christina, our Programs Director, couldn't make it so Susan went in her place. The 5 of us had a great time in our training and with each other.
...We both are serving in the Chapel in new ways. Nathan is taking over as the leader of Christian Campus (after he gets back from Italy, anyway) and I'm taking over as the leader of Preschool Children's Church.
...Nathan has written a few unique articles for PortuGOAL. One on Ronaldo's chance at being a legend in soccer and one on Germany's national team, who Portugal will play in the first round at Euro 2012. Read them here and here.
...We bought me a ticket to the Ukraine, so I'll be going with Nathan there for 12 days. I won't be able to watch the games inside the stadium, but possibly from a big screen outside. We are both a little apprehensive about this trip. It will all be so different from any trip we have ever taken before.
