Shopping Spree

Look what we bought last night!

A 27" iMac computer.

And a Canon EOS Rebel T2i DSLR.

We got them at the BX on sale, which saved us a ton of money. Discounted price plus no tax! We love the military : ) We had been talking about getting a new computer and camera soon (within a year) since all 3 of the computers we currently own are not superb AND since we want to have awesome pictures while we travel around Europe. Plus we found out we will be getting a chunk of money for "dislocating" and we won't be spending all of our insurance money/savings on a car to replace mine. SO... last night when I came home from work, we were started discussing car things and by the end of the conversation, we were getting ready to go to the BX to purchase the computer and camera. Never have we, together or alone, made such a fast decision on something(s) worth so much money. Once we were there, we were comparing the different iMacs and finally decided to get the BIG one since it would save us from buying a TV, which we also had on the list as a possible purchase down the road. But let me just say, we set up the computer last night and it is SO awesome! We even tested out a DVD in it and were so pumped about the picture and sound quality. Much better than our current TV and laptop. I am also a huge fan of just one cord coming out of the back and only the screen, albeit large, to set on top of the desk. Less clutter always puts a smile on my face. The camera we have yet to truly try out. The battery had to be charged and we forgot to get a memory card. I think Nathan bought one last night after I went to bed. And I think he said he was going to try it out today by taking pictures of the hummingbirds that come to the feeder today. I am really looking forward to learning about photography and photo editing soon. Hopefully that can be a new hobby of mine. So... yeah... I don't think we will be having buyer's remorse any time soon : )
