Brown-Eyed Girl

So after a whole month of eye appointments, days of wearing my glasses, and countless drops, tests, and "Read the smallest line for me," I have a diagnosis: keratoconus. My cornea can't keep it's shape, causing my vision to blur. Add on top of that an infection and dry eyes from my birth control. (I swear, with all of the issues I have had with that pill, I would be off faster than you can blink if it wasn't for the fact that it's great at not making Nathan and I parents.) Dr. Luca is my hero for figuring all of that out. Praise God for healing up my eye and giving me 20/20 vision back. Just a few weeks ago, after finally being stuck with the "mountainous eye" label, I was told I would have to wear hard contacts to hold my cornea in shape. I was dreading it. Then I went in Thursday and could see fine, meaning I can continue wearing soft lenses as long as I can see 20/20 out of them. Being able to see clearly is something that is easy to take for granted, even for someone who needs glasses or contacts in order to do so. One such as I. I am so grateful for my two eyes that are working properly.
