I spent the weekend in Houston with Sarah & Lisa, two of my bestest friends. We went to ACU, studied abroad together in Oxford during our sophomore year, and traveled to New York for New Year's our senior year. We go all the way back to the days when Facebook had just started! The military has given me the opportunity to make many new friends, but I'm so thankful to still have these two. There isn't anything like just being with friends who really know you.
Highlights of the trip include flying standby (Thanks, Sarah!), staying up until 5:30am the first night (which is why it's a good thing Lisa & I never roomed together in college), lunch at Sharky's followed by watching the kids play in the fountain, getting pedicures & frozen yogurt, John's grilled chicken, Lisa's cake, church, and forcing sweetly encouraging a certain someone to take the plunge on a certain something.
