Nifty Thrifty

I went to the thrift store on base... I mean, post... last week for two specific items. I will give you a little peek below. They will be fully revealed sometime after this Friday night.

So after I picked up those babies, I wandered around a bit. I've only been in the thrift store once before, to drop off some clothes Nathan wanted to consign. I was only afforded a glance around the place. This time I had some time to kill before my weekly stop at the commissary, so I checked out the center aisle, filled with vases, glassware, and dishes, and took home these three treasures below.

This hurricane vase was $4.

This ceramic vase, which totally goes with our living/dining room palette, was also $4.

And this bowl was $6. It is sitting in our kitchen, holding some sweets. It makes me smile when I am making my coffee in the morning : )

It seems really good! I'm sure it's because people purge a lot when they move in/out of here.
