Two years. Seems like both yesterday and forever ago that we got married. By now, we have learned a lot of how we respond to a variety of things and situations. And that learning will continue long into our marriage, I know. But this second year presented some major obstacles. Some we have conquered, making us stronger individually and as a couple, and some we are just beginning to face, bringing a lot of uncertainty and requiring a lot of love, understanding, and God-seeking. One of the biggest adjustments was our move overseas to Heidelberg. Talk about stressful. We nearly thought it would be the death of us. More times than we could count. We are confidently going in the direction God has revealed to us thus far, and my goodness(!) has He changed us through our marriage and everything we have faced together. Our God has been so faithful, so kind.

Nathan brought home two bouquets of red roses for me, we ate chicken stir fry by candlelight, and exchanged letters. Nathan's words to me made me tear up. Then we danced to our First Dance song ("Sparks" by Coldplay). Love that man.
