Retreat!

What do you get when you mix almost two full days off work with 11 women, add in a lake house in Tyler, TX and sprinkle with laughter, shopping, and food? Ministry Assistant Retreat!! We toured a church in Longview and then stayed at a lake house in Tyler over night that was just beautiful. Allison and I scored the Master Suite!

Of course, I didn't think to take any pictures all weekend... But we had a great time just eating and shopping and hanging out. I sure am going to miss all those women something terrible when Nathan and I move.

A tiny highlight of the weekend: using my Macy's gift card from the church on some measuring cups and spoons. Nathan probably... no, definitely... thinks I'm absolutely nuts because I am still so excited about the spoons. They are magnetic!!! So they stick together AND you can attach them to a magnetic strip on the wall or to the oven. Plus they are double sided. Well done, Martha Stewart!

Assignment list update: Nathan called me while on the retreat and told me the hot list came out. That is the list that has jobs that have to be filled this time around. There are two Nathan is eligible for. One in Ramstein (another in Germany!) and one in Idaho. They are both for the job that Nathan really wants. We will see what his commander says after we get back from Greece.
