Every few weeks, in PWOC, we have what we call Program. We don't meet in our Bible study groups, but usually have a guest speaker instead. And we do lunch instead of brunch. This past Tuesday, our Program consisted of a Passover seder. I had been pumped about partaking in the Passover seder, and it was just as neat as I thought it would be. We had a family of Messianic Jews lead us in participating and explain the meaning of everything, especially how we who believe the Messiah has come view some of the elements differently than Jews do, who are still waiting for Messiah. The messages communicated throughout the dinner, by different sensory experiences, are so vital and should be talked about consistently. The family encouraged us to take the booklet of instructions they gave us and do a Passover seder with our families. I have been wanting Nathan and I to have some Easter traditions, and I think this might perfectly fit the bill!

Very cool! My husband and I were also very blessed to celebrate our first real Passover this year. If you're looking for fun Passover traditions to adopt, maybe you and your husband should beat each other with green onions! The family we celebrated with are Persian Jews and that's a tradition they have for Passover. It's hilarious! (There's a video on my blog; see http://shalomsweethome.com/2012/04/08/the-sunday-seven-episode-15/#ss3). And I could not get enough of that charoset! Delicious!!! :) Have a wonderful day!
