Meet Natalia. She will be 11 in January and lives in Nicaragua. I started sponsoring her through Compassion International during my junior year of college, in December 2006. When Nathan and I got married, we were happy to continue
supporting her and her family.
A few months ago, Nathan suggested we sponsor another child. I wholeheartedly agreed. A few days later, he unknowingly signed us up to instead support a Child Survival Program in Ethiopia, a place that helps mothers and babies.
What a wonderful "accident!"
And then, about a week ago, Nathan called from work saying we should add another kid. Again, I completely agreed. Meet Virendra.
He will turn 4 in February and lives in India.

Don't you just want to hug these kids and have them sit on your lap? We love knowing that we can help provide for their basic needs, but also hope that through Compassion International's work in their local community, they will come
to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
We are so grateful for Compassion's work across the world and are humbled to share in it. They are committed to "releasing children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty." If you are looking for a place to give, we would highly recommend Compassion International. There are tons of ways and places to be involved. You can make a one-time donation or give monthly. You can support a child or a program. Just know that these children need whatever you have to give! They also have a great Christmas-time donation catalog, where you can donate all kinds of practical items like chickens, cows, clean water, mosquito nets, etc.
